Sahelian Youth Forum For Good Governance and Advocacy (SYFGGA) in Bauchi state has urged rivers political God  farthers to allow governor Siminilaye Fubara to work for the people of the state as duly elected executive governor and also allow peace to reign.

Speaking during a press conference recently, the National President of SYFGGA, Comrade Aminu Harsanu Guyaba, lamented that, it is disheartening for a move by some unscrupulous elements and political Godfathers are working behind the scenes to distract Fubara from the good work he has started since assumption in office, as number one citizen of rivers state through the balloting.

According to him, “These elements, having exhausted their own tenure, seek to continue exerting control over the state. This is not only undemocratic but also detrimental to the progress and stability of Rivers State.

Upon all the distraction we commend Governor Fubara for his doggedness and resilience in the face of challenges.,” he said.

Guyaba pointed out that the Fubara administration has been marked by numerous achievements that have positively impacted the lives of the citizens.

“From infrastructure development to healthcare improvements and economic empowerment, Governor Fubara’s dedication to serving the people of Rivers State is evident in every step he takes"

“We also appreciate Fubara for his recent bold and commendable decision to swear in local government caretaker committee chairmen

This decisive action was taken despite the attempts by former chairmen to cling to power even after exhausting their constitutional limits,” he said.

Youth Forum maintained that President Bola Tinubu, should address this pressing issue with his experience and implications of external control and a potential danger to the Governor.

“We urge Mr. President to use his good office to ensure that Governor Fubara is allowed to govern without undue interference.

“We also call on the National Assembly to urgently look into the matter in Rivers State. It is imperative that Fubara is given the space to work diligently for his people and provide them with the dividends of democracy,” they said.
