Three Days Refresher Course for Coaches, Referees, Organizing Secs, Commences Ahead of BH Sports Festival

Three days stakeholders meeting on refresher course commenced in Bauchi at the indoor multipurpose hall with hundred 100 participants across the twenty local government areas of the state, organized by the state ministry of youth and sports development in an effort to improve and promoting the sports activities.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the course the Director Sports council, coach Usman Yusuf applauded Governor Bala Mohammed for his support to the development of sports activities in the state. 

He said, under the governor's Bala's one year tenure in office, the ministry had gotten approval of twenty two games to be competed and also won six gold medals recently, in addition to allowing the organising 2024 state sports festival in the state. 

Earlier, the Chairman of the occasion, Barrister Ibrahim Kashim who was Ably represented by the Special Adviser on Special Duties, Hashim Yakubu Kumbala congratulated the organizers for their  foresight while urging the participants to go back to grassroot in their local councils to recruit more talented players. 

He equally challenged the ministry to return the only state team Wikki Tourists FC back to Nigeria Professional Football League NPFL in the country.

Mohammed Salis Gamawa applauded  the participants for being part of the course preparatory to the upcoming sports festival, after 42 years ago in the history of the championship in the state 


Gamawa who was ably represented by the Permanent Secretary, Alh Nasiru Usman urged the stakeholder to help contribute for the upliftment of local sports to a greater height, and join hands together for the success of the epoch sports event

Two papers was presented by Coach Ali Gator and Coach Kolo Mohammed on Sport Psychology and coaching techniques respectively, in a way to equip the participants and understanding the neety greety of sports development throughout the state
