SPORTS: Former NFA Secretary General,Commend Gov. Bala for Reviving  Sports Sector

Former national Secretary General of the Nigeria Football Association Sani Ahmed Toro urged the state Governors and sports administrators across the country to make huge investment in sports as part of efforts for sustainable economic growth and development 

He stated this on day two 2 at the ongoing 2024 Bauchi state Sports festival holding at the sports complex in Tafawa Balewa Stadium, as part of initiative by the current administration in search of talented players across selected sports activities throughout the state.

He said if authorities can do what is expected of them in sports sector Nigerians would not even start thinking of waiting for kola jobs elsewhere regardless of government employment to many graduates in the country

Former NFA boss while commending the state governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed said Nigeria needs committed leaders to strive in sports activities at the local level, national and  to compete favorably with others in the world

He noted that the Bauchi state governor he is worthy of emulation for riving the state sports festival which abandoned for over two decades in the state.

Different sports is expected to compete between participants from all 20 local governments in the state which comprises  Football, Basketball, Handball, Langa-Tureshi, Athletics Traditional Wrestling (DAMBE) among others 

The festival is expected to compete for medals within ten 10 days
