Bauchi state emirate council has suspended and banned all kinds of horse ridden within the major street of the metropolis indefinitely, saying anyone found wanting would be dealt with according to the law ofvthe land appropriately
The announcement was contained in a press statement issued to media organization signed by Alhaji Shehu Mudi Mohammed, Secretary of the emirate (Magatakarda Majalisar Sarkin) on Friday 18/10/2024.
The statement said the action become necessary following a growing concern and complains by the resident on several occasions
According to the announcement, "Bauchi emirate council has suspended and banned any forms of horse ridden in and around the metropolis and various communities organized by youth from all angles, noting that the action by the horse riders is causing a lot of confusion and accident by commuters and that infringed the right of the citizens"
Furthermore, the emirate emphasized that, "any groups or individuals want to organized such, should immediately inform the emirate hence with, saying any violation of such information the law would take it course without further delay"
