BH LEGISLATOR COMMENDS CSC FOR ADHERENCE TO REGULATIONS IN RECRUITMENT EXERCISE

The Majority Leader of the Bauchi State House of Assembly and Member House Committee on Public Service, Honorable Sale Hodi, has commended the Bauchi State Civil Service Commission (BSCSC) for conducting interviews in strict compliance with established regulations and guidelines. He noted that this adherence ensures transparency, fairness and meritocracy in the recruitment exercise.

Hon. Hodi emphasized that the commendation was well-deserved, as it reflects the confidence reposed in the Commission’s commitment to professionalism and integrity. He further stated that adherence to proper procedures promotes equal opportunities, eliminates favoritism and ensures that the most qualified candidates are selected for public service roles.

He said this efforts of the Commission also underscores the value of good governance, institutional accountability and the importance of transparent processes in fostering public trust and advancing the effectiveness of the civil service.

Acknowledging the Commission's efforts, Hon. Hodi, who represented the State House of Assembly during the interview for the position of State Auditor General for Local Governments, pledged to present a report before the Assembly to commend the Commission’s dedication to good governance and effective service delivery within the State Civil Service.

In his remarks, the Chairman of the  Commission, Alhaji Abubakar Usman Madakin Bunun Bauchi, expressed gratitude for the Assembly’s recognition and support. 

He reiterated the Commission’s commitment to supporting government policies and programs, emphasizing their dedication to maintaining a vibrant Civil Service through strict adherence to operational rules and regulations.
It is noteworthy that the Commission had earlier advertised the vacant position of State Auditor General for Local Governments in National Dailies and local Media Houses, inviting suitable and qualified candidates of Bauchi State origin to apply.

The interview process was attended by the Commission's Members and top State officials, including the State Accountant General, the Auditor General, a Representative of the State Attorney General, and the Permanent Secretary of the Commission, Alhaji Isa Mohammed Tahir, along with Directors.
