Gov. Bala Mourns the Passing of Hardworking Nigeria Journalist

The Bauchi state governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed has extent his heartfelt condolence to the entire journalism profession in Nigeria over the demised of their member Hafsat Adebayo, after a long protracted illness.

This was contained in a press release by the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the Governor Mukhtar M.Gidado, made available to Journalists on Monday.

The governor described her dead as a great loss to the entire profession not only her immediate family, but the Bauchi state in particular and the nation in general.

The statement added, that her passion and dedication and unwavering commitment to through and ethical reporting, says can not be over emphasized, until her dead she served as Correspondent of Dailypost in Bauchi.

The statement further explained, with deep sorrow and a profound sense of loss that the Government and the entire people of Bauchi state received the sad news of the passing of Hafsat Adebayo, a dedicated journalist and a member of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Correspondents' Chapel, Bauchi.

He also maintained, "throughout her career, Hafsat Adebayo distinguished herself as a dedicated professional journalist, contributing immensely to the dissemination of accurate and objective information, she played a vital role in shaping public discourse and promoting the ideals of a free and responsible press"

"Her dedication to duty and resilience in the face of challenges will be remembered as an inspiration to colleagues and aspiring journalists"

Governor Bala Mohammed extends his heartfelt condolences to the immediate family of late Hafsat Adebayo, praying that Almighty Allah grants them the strength to bear this great loss. 

Similarly, the Governor sympathizes with the leadership and members of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Bauchi State Chapter and the Correspondents Chapel who have loss a valuable colleague and a shining example of journalism profession.

“The Government and the good people of Bauchi State recognize  and appreciate the sacrifices and contributions of journalists to nation-building"

"the loss of Hafsat  Adebayo is not just a personal tragedy for her loved ones but a collective loss for the entire state and the Media community “ the Governor said .

Governor Bala prayed that the Almighty Allah would forgive her shortcomings and grant her Aljannat Firdaus.
