Two Essential Projects, Enough to Continue as President in 2027

Water project, and oil exploration activities in Bauchi state are essential key factors and enough to win Bauchi votes come 2027 presidential election without any campaign.

Former Speaker Yakubu Dogara made the statement recently during commissioning of 2.5 kilometer rural access road in Zaranda town, Toro local government area of Bauchi state.

Dogara explained that during his tenure as a speaker the project is expected to spend about 7 billion naira requested, he says after redesigning and costing couple with current value of naira the project now will consume whooping amount of money mothern the previous estimate.

The former speaker while addressing mammoth crowd of APC supporters who gathered to witness the inauguration ceremony has threw confidence on the examplary leadership exhibited so far by Senator Shehu Buba Umar representing Bauchi south senatorial district.

The former Speaker also called for the construction of the Bagel dam in Dass which he believed would open up the area, create sources of employment for the population and increase revenue generation opportunities.

He stressed that the two projects were vessentials to the growth and development of the state and the entire country as a whole.

”If done, the Zungur-Bagel Dam will generate electricity for all the LGAs in Bauchi South Senatorial District and will lead to economic prosperity and development in the area,” especially irrigation activities to alleviate food insecurity",

On kolmani oil exploration, Dogara believed that if the Bauchí state joins the oil producing states of the country, there would be more revenue allocation through derivation while more revenue generation sources will be opened.

He said once these two projects are made and executed, the president will not need to come to Bauchi to campaign come 2027 as the people will massively vote for Asiwaju

Dogara assured that the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), as an opposition in the state is not dead, stressing that those having such notion are only deceiving themselves, as the Party has more competent and charismatic individuals than PDP in the state.

“APC is still alive in Bauchi State, when the time comes, they will realize their mistakes, we will storm the state and take over after bringing the “Rat out of the hole”, Dogara emphasized.

Speaking earlier, Senator Shehu Buba Umar explained that the 2.5 kilometer road project was a fulfilment of his promise during campaigns of the last general election.

Furthermore, the lawmaker expressed that he would soon embark on commissioning of some projects he executed and flag off others new ones for the benefits of his people.

“it could recall that during my electioneering campaigns at the time of aspiring to become your senator in 2023, I pledged to relentlessly pursue meaningful and life changing projects,” he said
