SALLAH: Deployment of Adequate Police Personnel, as New Bauchi CP Assumes Duty

Bauchi state New Commissioner of Police Sani-Omolori Aliyu Orders Comprehensive Security Measures and deployment of adequate personnels to ensure safety and protection of lives and properties during and after the Eid-el-Fitr Sallah Celebrations as he assumed duty officially in the state.

This was disclosed in a press release and issued by the CSP Ahmed Mohammed Wakil Public Relations Officer of the command on Saturday.

The statement says, the Bauchi state Police Command extends warm greetings to the Muslim community on the occasion of the 1446AH/2025 Eid-el-Fitr celebration, signifying the conclusion of the Ramadan fasting period.

Under the distinguished leadership of Commissioner of Police, CP Sani-Omolori Aliyu, psc (+), mni, the Command is dedicated to implementing robust security measures and ensuring a conducive environment for prayer across the State. The safety of lives and property remains the highest priority for the Police.

However, the command stated that, "to achieve this objective, it has established extensive security protocols, including the deployment of mufti-uniformed personnel for intelligence gathering. These officers will report to the Command’s central control room to preemptively address any potential threats to peace and security both before and during the festive period"

Therefore, the new CP Aliyu, has directed all area Commanders, Tactical Commanders, and Divisional Police Officers (DPOs) to maintain heightened visibility patrols in areas identified as black spots or flashpoints within their respective Areas of Responsibility (AORs). It is essential to convey a message to individuals considering disruptions to the procession.

Adding that,  it is advised to reconsider their actions. They are encouraged to either participate in the festivities, approach the Police for rehabilitation, or face appropriate legal consequences for any unlawful actions.

Furthermore, the command urges citizens to promptly report any suspicious activities to the nearest Police Station for immediate response. Additionally, citizens may submit complaints via the Police Rescue Me App or contact emergency numbers 08151849417 and 09053872273.

"We remain steadfast in our commitment to providing a safe and secure environment for all citizens during the festive season".
