In a bid to improve social amenities in every nook and cranny of Kaugama Local Government Area of Jigawa State, the council chairman, Honourable Usman Masaki Dansule, has begun installing electricity poles, cables, and other materials destroyed by a windstorm in the area.
The affected areas include the Kaugama-Madana road, the Dakayyawa-Hadejia road, and other communities.
The restoration of electricity in the area will boost business transactions, improve security, and enhance other essential services for the benefit of residents.
In another development, the local government council has expanded the evacuation of drainages and culverts and cleared other filthy areas in Dakayyawa to improve atmospheric hygiene and ensure the easy flow of rainwater to avoid flooding.
He said his door is always open to receive meaningful reports on any public demand in order to solve issues urgently.
Dansule further urged community members to maintain a cleaner environment by clearing waterways for the easy flow of rainfall to designated water points.
