The outgoing National Youth Service Corps members serving at the Bauchi State Government House have honoured the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Comrade Mukhtar Gidado, with an Award of Excellence.
Presenting the award at his office, the leader of the corps members, Oluchukwu Esther Emeka, described Comrade Gidado as a caring father and dedicated media professional.

She said his commitment and effective projection of the state government’s activities influenced her decision to serve in Bauchi, despite initial concerns from her family about being posted to the state.
Ms. Emeka commended the Special Adviser for supporting corps members, noting that his office remains attentive to their welfare. She described him as “the eyes and ears of Bauchi State.”
Responding after receiving the award, Comrade Mukhtar Gidado expressed appreciation to the outgoing corps members for the recognition, describing it as encouragement to continue serving diligently.
The Special Adviser attributed the achievements of his office to the support and leadership of Governor Bala Mohammed, as well as the commitment of members of the press crew.
He also commended the press crew for their teamwork and professionalism, saying their collective efforts have contributed significantly to the effective communication and publicity of government activities.
