The Governor of Bauchi State, His Excellency, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, has expressed deep sorrow over the death of Malam Abdullahi Sule, popularly known as “Madaki”, an ENG Cameraman with the Bauchi State Government House Press Crew. He passed away in the early hours of today after a brief illness.
In a statement signed by Mukhtar Gidado, Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the Governor, Senator Bala Mohammed, on behalf of his family, the Government and good people of Bauchi State, extended heartfelt condolences to the immediate family of the deceased, members of the Government House Press Crew, the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, friends, colleagues and associates.
Governor Bala described the deceased as a dedicated, hardworking and peace-loving media professional whose simplicity, humility and friendliness endeared him to everyone who came in contact with him.
According to the Governor, Malam Abdullahi Sule was a committed member of the Government House Press Crew who discharged his responsibilities with professionalism, loyalty and dedication to duty, contributing meaningfully to the documentation and dissemination of the activities of the Bauchi State Government.
“His death is a painful loss not only to his immediate family and colleagues but also to the entire Bauchi State media community. Madaki was a simple, responsible and dedicated professional cameraman who related warmly with people and consistently demonstrated a peaceful disposition,” the Governor said.
Governor Bala Mohammed prayed that the Almighty Allah will forgive the shortcomings of the deceased, grant him eternal rest in Aljannatul Firdaus, and give his family, colleagues, friends and associates the courage and fortitude to bear the loss.
The Governor also urged the media community and all those mourning the deceased to take solace in the fact that death is an inevitable journey for every human being.
The deceased has been buried according to Islamic rites at his residence in Unguwar Kur, Railway Road, Bauchi, this morning.
