GOMBE — The Chairman of Gombe South Local Council Development Area, LCDA, Auwal Jauro Bapp, and his deputy, Dalhatu Boderi, have commended Alhaji Jalo Wali for distributing sanitary pads to schoolgirls across Gombe State, describing the initiative as timely and impactful.
Bapp assured the organisers of the council’s maximum support and cooperation to ensure the success of the programme.
Speaking at the event, the Principal of Government Junior Secondary School, GJSS, Jauro Tudun Wada, Zulaihat Kabir, alongside Auwalu Mai Matasa Pantami, Mahmud Abubakar Wamban Pantami, and Hajiya Maimuna Saleh Abdu, highlighted achievements recorded under the APC-led administration of Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya.
They also called on wealthy individuals, corporate organizations, and non-governmental organizations to complement government efforts by supporting women and children across the state.
Earlier, the initiator of the programme, Alhaji Jalo Wali, said the project, organized in collaboration with Alhaji Sa’adu Ali Mai Silifas, targets the distribution of 100 sanitary pads to girls in primary schools across the 11 local government areas of Gombe State.
He explained that the initiative is aimed at improving menstrual hygiene awareness and enhancing the well-being of schoolgirls.
Wali also described Dr. Jamilu Isiyaku Gwamna as a worthy governorship candidate for Gombe State and urged residents to continue praying for the success of all All Progressives Congress, APC, candidates in future elections.
Also speaking, the APC Chairman of Gombe Local Government Area, Saleh Idris, and the Education Secretary, represented by Abubakar Bello, commended the Gombe Charity Foundation, led by Alhaji Jalo Wali and Alhaji Sa’adu Ali Mai Silifas, for the humanitarian gesture.
They prayed for Allah’s continued blessings and abundant rewards for the organisers for their commitment to supporting women and the girl-child.
