The Chief Executive Officer of the Bala Wunti Support Organisation, BWSO, Arc. Muktar Ahmad Jarmajo, has directed all Local Government Coordinators across Bauchi State to immediately activate and strengthen the political structures of the Bala Wunti movement ahead of the commencement of campaign activities.
Jarmajo gave the directive after the organisation’s weekly management meeting, where he charged coordinators to intensify grassroots mobilisation, strengthen existing structures, and expand the membership base across the state.
The BWSO CEO disclosed that following the appointment of Dr. Bala Maijama’a Wunti as a member of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, the organisation has set a target of mobilising at least 500,000 votes for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in Bauchi State.
He described the target as achievable through coordinated grassroots mobilisation and the effective activation of the organisation’s structures across the 20 Local Government Areas of the state.
“We must activate every structure across the state — from local government areas to wards and polling units — within the Bala Wunti political ecosystem. This is based on the strong and coordinated grassroots network built over time that will position Bauchi to deliver the strongest electoral performance in the Northeast geopolitical zone,” Jarmajo said.
Jarmajo stressed that the political strength of Bauchi State within the APC-led Federal Government would be measured significantly by the support and votes the state delivers to the party and its candidates.
He emphasised that the number of votes Bauchi gives to the APC will have a direct bearing on the level of federal attention, development, and government projects the state can attract.
“The votes Bauchi State gives to the APC will determine, to a significant extent, the attention and government projects the state attracts. We must therefore mobilise our people and ensure that Bauchi plays its rightful role in supporting the APC-led Federal Government,” Jarmajo said.
He consequently directed all Local Government Coordinators to activate the structures of the organisation across all affiliate groups, strengthen coordination at the ward and grassroots levels, and intensify the registration of new members ahead of campaigns.
The CEO urged members and supporters of Dr. Bala Maijama’a Wunti to remain united, committed and focused on the organisation’s objective, stressing that achieving the 500,000-vote target would require sustained grassroots engagement and collective effort.
He further called on all coordinators to take the mobilisation exercise seriously and ensure that every political structure under the Bala Wunti Support Organisation is fully prepared for the campaigns.
