Governor Bala Has Transformed Tertiary Education, Bags SSANU Award

Bauchi State Governor, Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, says his administration has transformed the education sector across the state, particularly at the tertiary level.
The governor stated this while receiving an Award of Good Governance from the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities, SSANU, during the opening of the association’s 55th National Executive Council, NEC, meeting at Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, ATBU, on Wednesday in Bauchi.
Governor Bala, who was represented at the award ceremony by his Senior Special Assistant on Communication, Abdulwahab Mohammed, received the award from the Vice Chancellor of the university, accompanied by other top management of the institution.
He said the administration has maintained standards in education through provision of infrastructure aimed at ensuring academic excellence in the state.
Earlier, the leadership of SSANU commended Governor Bala for the rapid transformation of critical sectors of the economy, especially tertiary institutions of learning across the state.
The association expressed optimism that the agreement with the federal government on university staff allowances would soon be implemented following assent by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu recently.
