The National Association of Tafawa Balewa Students, NATABS, has successfully concluded its series of farmers’ training workshops across selected communities in Tafawa Balewa Local Government Area of Bauchi State.
The programme, held in Bununu, Tafawa Balewa, and Lere, equipped participants with practical knowledge on modern agricultural practices, youth involvement in agribusiness, and animal fattening.
According to NATABS, the training was designed to boost agricultural productivity, create employment opportunities for young people, and strengthen food security in the area.
Speaking at the closing ceremony, the President of the association, Comrade Yahaya Abdullahi, expressed appreciation to the Programme Manager of the Bauchi State Agricultural Development Programme, BSADP, and the Director of the Rural Institutional Development, RID, Department for their support in ensuring the successful implementation of the training.
The association also thanked the Bauchi State Commissioner for Agriculture for his encouragement and backing, which contributed to the success of the initiative.
NATABS further commended the resource persons whose technical presentations provided farmers with valuable knowledge and practical skills.
Participants described the training as timely, informative, and impactful. They expressed optimism that the knowledge gained would lead to increased farm productivity, improved livestock management, and sustainable agricultural development across the communities.
