…as Musa Allegedly Stabbed to Death

Bauchi State Police Command has arrested one Abubakar Abdullahi, aka “DAN IYA”, in connection with the killing of a 25-year-old man, Moh’d Musa, in Bayan Bata area of Bauchi metropolis.
The incident occurred on Friday, 22nd August 2026 at about 11:00 p.m., the public relations officer of the command SP Nafiu Habib disclosed this in a press release issued to journalist on Sunday.
According to police, a fight broke out between the suspect and the victim. During the altercation, Abdullahi allegedly brought out a knife and stabbed Musa.
The victim was rushed to the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital, ATBUTH, Bauchi, where he was confirmed dead by a medical Doctor
Operatives from ‘A’ Division, Township, responded swiftly, arrested the suspect and recovered the knife allegedly used in the crime. The corpse has been deposited at the hospital mortuary for autopsy.
The Command said the suspect is currently in custody while investigation is ongoing. The case will be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department, SCID, for discreet investigation and possible prosecution.
The Commissioner of Police Sani-Omolori Aliyu, has directed a thorough and diligent investigation to ensure justice is served.
He also urged residents to shun violence and report any suspicious activity to the nearest police station.
