…Group says appointment recognises leadership in energy sector and commitment to sustainability

BAUCHI — The Bala Wunti Support Organisation, BWSO, has congratulated its Founder, Dr. Bala Maijama’a Wunti, on his appointment as Chief Executive Officer of the World Energy Council, WEC Nigeria.
In a statement issued on Friday by the Public Relations Officer, Kamal Ibrahim,
BWSO CEO Malam Mukhtar Jarmajo described the appointment as a recognition of Dr. Wunti’s outstanding leadership and contributions to Nigeria’s energy sector.
Jarmajo said the appointment reflects confidence in Dr. Wunti’s experience, strategic vision and capacity to drive innovation in the energy industry.
BWSO expressed optimism that Dr. Wunti’s tenure will strengthen Nigeria’s voice in the global energy space and support the country’s energy transition and sustainable development goals.
The organisation prayed for good health and wisdom for Dr. Wunti and reaffirmed its support as he assumes the national and international role.
Dr. Wunti’s appointment comes as Nigeria joins the global energy body, with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu welcoming the development.
BWSO said it is confident the new role will bring transformative impact to Nigeria’s energy security, economic growth and investment opportunities.
