The Emir of Lame in Bauchi State, Alhaji Aliyu Yakubu Lame, has congratulated Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed on his 68th birthday anniversary.
The Emir’s message was contained in a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Babangida Suleiman Lame, and made available to reporters in Bauchi.
Speaking on behalf of his family, district heads, traditional rulers, the Lame Emirate Council and the people of Lame Emirate, the Emir described the Governor’s tenure as one marked by wisdom, peace and progress.
“Your reign has witnessed a remarkable transformation in traditional leadership and meaningful collaboration with all the people of Bauchi State, a collaboration that transformed the State. Your guidance and statesmanlike disposition have remained a source of inspiration to all of us in the State.
“As you celebrate this remarkable milestone, we pray that Almighty Allah continues to bless you with long life, good health and wisdom to continue steering the affairs of Bauchi State with honour and dignity,” the Emir said.
He added: “Your Excellency, your journey is one of wisdom, courage and unwavering service to the people of Bauchi State. You are a leader who listens; a builder who dreams and a governor who delivers dividends of democracy to the electorate.
“At 68, your vision continues to inspire, your leadership unites, and your legacy shines brighter than ever across our beloved Bauchi State. Under your leadership, Bauchi State enjoys a peaceful atmosphere, becoming one of the most peaceful states in the country.”
The Emir described the milestone as an important occasion to express gratitude to Almighty Allah for life, good health and the opportunity to continue serving the people.
He prayed that Almighty Allah grants the Governor greater wisdom, strength, long life and success in the discharge of his responsibilities for the continued development of Bauchi State and the wellbeing of its citizens.
He also urged leaders to provide good governance and ensure the country’s resources are used for the benefit of the people, stressing that it is abnormal for Nigerians to be surrounded by abundant resources yet experience hardship and deprivation.
The monarch appealed to Nigerians to remain hopeful and steadfast, expressing optimism that God would restore hope and set the country on the right path of peace, progress and prosperity.
