The Bala Wunti Support Organization, BWSO, has donated 50 bags of 25kg rice to victims of the recent flood disaster in Bara community, Kirfi Local Government Area of Bauchi State.
The gesture is part of humanitarian assistance to the less privileged in the state and beyond, particularly those affected by the flood.
This was contained in a press release issued on Friday by the Chief Communications Officer of the organization, Abubakar Al-Sadique.
According to the statement, the relief materials were presented to the District Head of Bara, Alhaji Muhammadu Abdullahi, by the Chief Executive Officer of BWSO, Mallam Muktar Ahmad Jarmajo.
During the presentation, Jarmajo conveyed Dr. Bala Wunti’s message of sympathy to the affected families and communities, describing the donation as a token of support aimed at alleviating immediate hardship during this difficult period.
He prayed for Allah’s intervention and mercy, asking Him to restore all that was lost to the devastating flood and grant comfort to the affected families.
Receiving the delegation, Alhaji Abdullahi expressed appreciation to Dr. Wunti for the timely intervention. He prayed for Allah’s abundant blessings and rewards upon him, noting that only individuals with genuine concern for humanity recognize and respond to the plight of those in need.
The district head further commended Dr. Wunti’s numerous humanitarian interventions and community development initiatives across Bauchi State, stating that the people of Bara hold him in high esteem because of his consistent support for vulnerable communities.
“Over the years, Dr. Bala Wunti has continued to touch lives positively across Bauchi State through various empowerment and humanitarian programmes. We in Bara also have thousands of youths, women, widows, and divorcees who would greatly benefit from his intervention programmes,” the district head stated.
He assured the donor that the relief materials would be distributed transparently and fairly, disclosing that a committee had been constituted to ensure that only genuine flood victims benefit from donations by individuals and organizations.
It will be recalled that Bara town recently experienced a devastating flood that destroyed more than 150 houses, claimed the lives of a woman and her grandchild, and rendered many residents homeless.
The statement further explained that the donation by Dr. Bala Maijama’a Wunti signifies his continued commitment to supporting vulnerable communities and providing relief to those affected by disasters and economic hardship across Bauchi State.
